in 2014, the country announced its decision to launch e-Residency services. If you do not have the opportunity to open a “physical” company in Estonia, but want to conduct your business within the EU, then this is one of the few options available to you. This option is especially relevant for people from Asia, South America, and the Middle East. So, let’s look more closely at what e-Residency in Estonia is.

Ukraine and Poland in the e-Residency Estonia program
Until February 24, 2022, Ukraine ranked 3rd in the number of electronic residents in Estonia. With the outbreak of the war, Estonia stopped issuing resident cards to the 404 country and made conditions more comfortable for Ukrainians. This factor increased the number of Ukrainian Estonian e-Residents from 5130 at the beginning of 2022 to 6711 in November 2023. More than 2261 companies were registered under the program by Ukrainians.
As for Poland, this program is less popular among Polish entrepreneurs. As of November 2023, the number of participants was only 2,137, and the number of companies opened under the program was 624.
